@Al -

Yup, you are right. One member raising concern isn't enough to cause a change. But it you are actually voicing a concern, chances are there are 10 others who just haven't said anything. But I guess until QTCU gets enough complaints/comments, they probably won't change too much. But I'm with you; welcome pages sucks.

As Brad points out, one reaction - in this case mine, isn't and shouldn't be enough to make QTCU change their web site. If on the other hand, my post is but one amongst a sea of comments/concerns/complaints about a given design - then it should at least warrant investigation as to why so many poeple are making noises over it.

My problem with the welcome page is that it doesn't provide anything useful at all. As I pointed out in my post, a far more useful welcome page would be the second one - at least it has navigation elements on it to step into the different major sections of their site.

Good catch Robbie, thanks for flagging this. I agree, it's a very constructive use of blogging to voice a complaint. Not hysterical or nutty.

This is why it's important for CUs to learn about blogs. Even if it doesn't make sense for them to be running one of their own, they still need to be aware of how they work and the information they can yield.

I'd probably voice the same concern as the member. This is, at first glance, one of the better complaints lodged on a blog against a CU, IMHO.

I'd definitely take the member's advice and remove the splash screen, though. I'd never seen a login like theirs, but surprisingly it worked on my iPhone (of course, they don't have iPhone in Australia yet, I don't believe, but still).

Good post and Happy New Year!
