The only way I see it being successful is if the FI can find a reason that the member/customer has to use the page for some functionality that they can't get elsewhere. Google and MS will kick our butts everywhere will customizable pages, so we have to use our FI to beat them. Like offering balances, history, pending transactions, etc on your homepage. Or maybe just use RSS to deliver that info and let them use live.com or Google.

As a second to my first comment we are leaning more towards RSS and widgets to deliver our message instead of trying to be the home page.

Robbie... Do you think members/customers will actually use a credit union or bank web site as their home page? Not sure if this is time/resources well spent. Anxious to see if this becomes a trend.
