Not sure how detailed the permissions can be set in SQL management studio, but if the ability is there to export the database to a file then that would work. Otherwise just having the files available for download would work too. I know if I had a local copy and could look at it in SQL management studio it would be easier for me to get more familiar with how the data is organized as well.

@Kevin - Not a bad idea! How would you envision that working? Just want to download the files from the site or should I loosen permissions on the DB to let people do it themselves through SQL Management Studio?

The mdf and ldf files would be perfect. The biggest problem is for testing, sometime the connection can be slow and when your making frequent minor changes and just want to see if you change worked it can be slow process to do debugging.

@Kevin - It has been discussed before. What kind of format were you think? The mdf and ldf files from the actual DB or more flat files of some type? And what is challenging in using this in a testing/debugging scenario?

Any thought to making an offline copy of the database available for download. It would make development and testing easier to have a local copy.

Robbie-

It looks like if you put in a participating FI's routing number, you are taken to a screen where you can download the file in CSV. You can put in ours its:

275979076

Put it in on the bottom left login box at this page:

http://www.atmallianceone.org/allianceone/

Alternatively, this link also seems to work without logging in:

http://www.atmallianceone.org/allianceone/download.asp

Let me know if that doesn't work out and I can look into it further.

Thanks,
Eric

Eric--

Thanks for the feedback. I'd love to get Alliance One in there, but I can't seem to find anything on their site about getting that information. With COOP, you can download a file with all of their locations. If you guys have any existing relationship with them, they might be will to give you an Excel spreadsheet or something listing out all of their locations. We could add that to the database and make it very easy for many people to get to!

Adding the COOP ATMs is awesome. I've been looking for a good source for this data. Any chance you could add the Alliance One ATM network as well (primarily CU ATMs--all surcharge free to other CU members).
