Coffee shops and wi-fi are a perfect combination. Bank lines and wi-fi...not so much. 99% of our members will not need wifi while they are visiting our branches...yet it's one more thing that our IT department will need to maintain and setup. It's a "nice to have" like free coffee, cookies, or cable TV in the lobby. I'm not against free wifi in branches...think it's a great idea. I just don't think it's a mandatory thing. We don't even have that yet! I'm all for free wifi in the branches, but I wouldn't advertise because I know some people would bring in their laptops and camp out all day long just to use the internet.
