TBFCU has had "decorated" vehicles for quite a while - at least 4-5 years. In fact, they even have (at least I think they still have it) a double-decker bus that they take to all of the community events. It's certainly an excellent way to see their name and logo all over town.
Morriss - would love to be able to read and participate in the heated debate but non-CU folks still can't access it...couldn't pass up the chance to toss that in there!

Occasionally, I have to pimp EverythingCU, and I will do so now by mentioning that there is currently some heated debate going on there about the marketing pros and cons for CUs to wrap their employee's vehicles.

Seriously, here's what I think CUs should do: Offer to pay the member's car insurance payment in exchange for putting the promotional material on the car w/ one caveat -- no tickets, no accidents. In fact, that should be the promo for financing a car w/ the CU.

Ron, you're on fire! What a great idea, have the members do it for a free car. That would be awesome! And yes, they make all the payments!

Why should this be limited to employees? How about bumping up the rate on a 1-yr CD if a member agrees to wrap their car w/ your CU's ad?
(You also didn't specify if the Tampa CU paid made just ONE payment on the car, or makes all the payments)
